Raw Aluminum Riser Block Casting

The raw casting for the riser block, part number RB-4-5, is a versatile blank for companies that prefer to finish machine their own parts for mechanical bread boarding.

The casting is approximately seven (7) inches [178mm] long, four and three-quarter (4.75) inches [121mm] high and five (5) inches [127mm] wide. It weighs approximately eleven and one-half (11.5) pounds [5.2kg].

There are two integral bosses cast into the design that can be used to hold the parts in place on the bread board.

These blocks make an excellent riser to extend the elevation of our part number VB-5 vee block casting. This part is built with ribbed construction to reduce the weight while maintaining extreme mechanical rigidity.

This part is cast from Type 356 Aluminum that is solution annealed and heat treated to condition T4. This is the hardest, strongest and best machining commercial condition for this material.
